Career Ecology emerged out of the aftermath of September 11th, alongside personal trauma and the near premature birth of my child. The illusion that work could remain separate from the nervous system, the heart, and the social field collapsed.  It became impossible to keep participating in systems that demanded productivity while ignoring the human cost.

I pivoted—first in geography, then in vocation—entering recruiting with a radically different orientation: human connection, not head headhunting. Over time, a deeper pattern became clear – career change was not primarily about résumés, titles, or strategy, it was about identity, safety, and authentic expression. It was about personal freedom and a path to prosperity.

Career Ecology was born from that recognition.

It reframes career change not as a ladder to climb, but as a living system to be understood—one that must honor inner rhythm, personal temperament, and the wider social and economic environment in which a person is rooted.

Inside Career Ecology

Career Ecology approaches work and transition as an ecological process—one that cannot be rushed, forced, or reduced to optimization alone.

The work integrates meaning, nervous system awareness, narrative clarity, and practical tools, helping people move through career change without abandoning their dignity, health, or sense of self. Rather than asking “What job should I get next?”, Career Ecology asks, "What is trying to come into form now?"

This is not about fixing careers.

It is about restoring coherence between who a person is, how they work, and the world they are trying to serve.

My work and passions are rooted in decades guiding humans through transition, loss, identity rupture, and emergence. I bring a poetic depth and practical sensibility that orients to the body’s intelligence, a respect for inner rhythm, and a commitment to compassionate and courageous expression.
