SocialBiome emerged from a simple, unsettling realization: most organizations are designed without regard to the human nervous system.

Across healthcare, nonprofits, startups, and institutions, I keep seeing the same pattern. Lack of engagement and ultimate burnout isn’t a failure of resilience — it is a predictable outcome of environments built on pressure, speed, extraction, and chronic threat. Even well-intentioned organizations unknowingly create conditions that fracture trust, silence wisdom, and erode cooperation and joy.

As a lifelong student of natural systems, I noticed an ecological blueprint for healing and success.

In healthy ecosystems, diversity strengthens resilience. Relationships regulate the whole. Signals are shared. Resources flow where they are needed. Nothing thrives in isolation — and nothing is reduced to a single metric of value. Cooperation and service liberates healthy competitiveness and innovation. Living systems thrive.

So, I ask you, what if organizations were designed like living systems instead of machines?

Rather than treating culture as a “soft” issue, SocialBiome recognizes it as a Social Operating System — one that directly shapes behavior, decision-making, innovation, and wellbeing. When that system is misaligned, no amount of strategy or policy can compensate. When it is healthy, trust and performance grow, exponentially.

SocialBiome exists to help leaders and organizations see — often for the first time — the invisible relational patterns that underly their complex ecosystems.

Designing for the human ecosystem.

SocialBiome is a framework and practice for designing organizations that honor human ecologies — including nervous systems, relationships, power dynamics, and purpose — alongside performance and outcomes.

This work supports leaders and teams in:

  • understanding how culture actually operates beneath stated values

  • recognizing threat, collapse, and disconnection in real time

  • restoring conditions for trust, inclusion, and collective intelligence

  • designing structures that support long-term resilience, not burnout

SocialBiome is not culture branding.
It is not motivational programming.

It is a grounded, living approach to organizational design — rooted in biology, psychology, and the deep truth that trust and care as the heart of all success.

My work and passions are rooted in decades guiding humans through transition, loss, identity rupture, and emergence. I bring a poetic depth and practical sensibility that orients to the body’s intelligence, a respect for inner rhythm, and a commitment to compassionate and courageous expression.
