Learning in the Open Field
Economies of Meaning • ICON Industries
Something is changing. You must feel it too. That's why you're here.
The way we market, sell, and grow has been built on urgency, pressure, and extraction.
It works—but at a cost. To people. To community. To the natural world.
This is a space to explore a different way.
The Learning Page is where we gather to understand and build a new model—one rooted in meaning over misery, agency over extraction, and connection as the foundation for exchange.
Through sessions, classes, and conversations led by expert voices within our Steward community, we’ll explore:
-
How marketing is evolving—and what comes next
-
How to build offerings that support rather than deplete
-
How to use technology, platforms, and systems in service of people
-
How to design exchanges that are mutual, sustainable, and alive
-
How to change and find jobs in a way that is authentic and restorative
-
How to grow and prosper with community, not from it
Open Field is creating a place to learn, experiment, and begin applying a new architecture in real time.
This space is currently being built—but The Emerald Tent is already there and soon to be added to the master calendar. For now, learn more here.
Sessions and speaker events will be shared here as they are released.
Come back. Stay close.
We’re building this together.
Meet ICON Industries

ICON Industries is creating a living campus in Escondido—a space for learning, storytelling, and human connection.
It’s a place where new ideas are explored, shared, and brought to life in community—through gatherings, classes, and conversations that reflect a more meaningful way of working and living.
Interested in experiencing it in person? Contact ICON to schedule a tour of the campus—and linger over the most amazing tropical fish tank in North County San Diego.
Hello and welcome. I'm Lori, and I am the Steward of The Open Field. I have been dreaming of a better way for us all in a world that has grown more extractive by the day. I know we are part of nature and with that are wired to co-exist and connect.
With access to AI and technology, I finally can open a new way—an Economy of Meaning.
There is much to reframe as the world rattles and hums. I'm excited and here to serve!
With much love, I join you in the Open Field . . .
Lori Wallace
